City to waive $5 admin for taxi licence renewal as a gesture of goodwill

Council voted to waive $5 in taxi licence renewal fees thanks in part to an administrative error. The fee was marked to go up to $55 during the budget process, but the city mailed out renewal notice with the incorrect amount to 2,583 licensed cabbies.
